You Can Watch Satellite TV Online

My challenge this week was to find out if you really could get free satellite TV on your PC and I was amazed to find that there is so much available. It didn't take long for me to discover that there are a few shady operations out there as well that are illegal hacks of cable and satellite systems that you should stay away from - for one, you will never get technical support, and you are simply contributing to something that should be stopped and ends up making everything more expensive. That said, I wondered if the current systems were easy enough for the average computer user to install.

There are only a handful of good systems out there to watch free satellite TV on your PC, fortunately they are all similar. Each has a system that links the digital streaming video that is sent over the Internet and also makes sure you are a licensed user of the system. This software is the only purchase you will make, and the beauty of this is that there are no monthly fees as there are with normal satellite TV systems. The software installs easily and no extra computer hardware is needed to get going. Now that we know that it will run on your PC, what can you actually see?

I was expecting to see a few dozen channels of TV no one would probably watch anyway - channels that are just starting out and don't have much of a viewership, and maybe some channels that never did well on the cable systems. But I was in for a pleasant surprise and I believe you will be, too. For example, I could immediately watch at least 6 different ABC affiliates in different areas of the country. There were sports channels; not only local ones, but foreign soccer channels where I could enjoy the latest matches while at my desk. And just when I didn't think it could get any better, it did.

Granted, the website reviews of watch free satellite TV for PC programs noted there are a few channels that are not on all day long. These are broadcasters that don't transmit but 12 hours or so each day and the satellite system picks them up and shows them when they are on. You get a blank screen when they are off. But my favorite feature was that the system I tried actually carried the programming from Brazil that I wanted to see. I realize this is probably not a big deal for you, but just to show you that systems to watch free satellite TV on your PC carry tons of channels. Your favorite is probably there and it has to be the easiest way to get live television on your computer.

When you're shopping for these systems, make sure you find one that has a money-back guarantee, just in case you find it is not all what you thought it would be. However, the satellite TV for PC system works over the Internet and if you have a good DSL or cable modem, you should have no problem at all. Also, make sure you spend enough time, or that your PC is in a place where you can watch the programming once you install the software. Sitting at a desk chair for hours is OK when typing - but when you're enjoying a good movie or sporting event, you'll want something a tad more comfortable.
